  • NTC Deployment

 

Possible Key Points To Discuss During Counseling:

  • Packing list
  • PMCS on all equipment going to NTC (Radios, vehicles…)
  • Load Plan
  • Rules of engagement (ROE) at NTC
  • Storage of POV if living in the barracks
  • Storage of personal belongings and equipment while at NTC if living in the barracks
  • SRP
  • Deployment Briefings
  • Plan for paying bills while deployed
  • Flight schedule
  • Manifesting
  • Writing home to family

 

Possible Plans of Action:

  • Get packing list for NTC from the company
  • Perform PMCS on all equipment and vehicles
  • Develop load plan (if applicable)
  • Load Conex per load plan
  • Pick up a copy of the ROE from the BN S3 and study it
  • Take all valuables out of the car and secure the car in the BN designated area
  • Inventory all valuables and secure them inside wall lockers and supply sergeant will band the wall locker
  • Go through the SRP at scheduled time
  • Attend all deployment briefings (with spouse if applicable)
  • Take care of all finances prior to deployment
  • Get flight schedule from the 1SG
  • Be ready for the manifesting with ID Card, ID Tags, and all personal equipment to include weapon
  • Inform family that calling back home will be limited but will try to write as often as possible

 

Possible Leader Responsibilities:

  • Provide soldier with a copy of the packing list
  • Supervise PMCS
  • Provide soldier with a copy of the NTC ROE
  • Assist the soldier in securing POV
  • Provide soldier with a copy of the flight schedule
  • Provide soldier with a copy of the mail restrictions
