Colleges in Colorado

Colorado, the home state of Fort Carson, located near Colorado Springs, has been called one of the best places to be stationed in the Army. The climate, shaped by the wind patterns surrounding the Rocky Mountains, varies widely from place to place within the state, from the warm and sunny eastern plains of the state to cool areas with cold winters in areas of the western foothills.

The Colorado State University has campuses in Fort Collins and Pueblo, and the University of Colorado campuses are located in Boulder, Colorado Springs and Denver. There are also a multitude of other Colorado colleges, both public and private, including the United States Air Force Academy. Off duty, some of the popular activities in Colorado include the urban culture of Denver, and the many Colorado state parks and other natural treasures. Paleontology buffs love Dinosaur National Park and the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument.
