Colleges in Oregon

Oregon is the gateway to the Pacific Northwest. Residents enjoy the vibrant city life of Portland, while college students thrive in the lively college towns of Eugene and Corvalis. Along with Portland's nightlife, professional sports, dining, and shopping, the state offers a dazzling array of outdoor recreational facilities including snowboarding, beach-combing, surfing, rafting, hiking, deep-sea fishing, wind surfing, golf, and camping. Residents can ski Mt. Hood or tour more than 360 miles of Oregon coastline. Visit wineries in the Willamette Valley. The climate is generally mild with rainfall in the western part of the state. On the eastern side state, snowfall is common in winter.

Army schools throughout the state offer a wide range of specialist degrees as well as traditional mainstay programs. There are seven public universities, three regional universities, 17 community colleges, and more than 20 private colleges, universities and seminaries.
