Colleges in New York

New York has a celebrated military history and is home to the West Point Military Academy on the west bank of the Hudson River. The academy is 40 miles north of New York City, where other colleges and universities thrive--right along with the never-ending call to dine, enjoy the night life, sports, and entertainment in the Big Apple. New York colleges and universities crisscross the entire state from north to south, as do the military bases at Fort Drum in the north, Seneca Army Depot, Watervlient Arsenal (outside Troy), and Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn.

New York's Army schools put you near large cities or college towns in upstate--all within a short drive or train ride away. Students and family members enjoy the access to research libraries, health care, and schools.
