Schools in Kentucky Near Fort Campbell

Fort Campbell is the choice of many active Army personnel for both its temperate location and the local opportunities to pursue a campus-based college education. The post is located on the Kentucky/Tennessee border and provides plenty of hunting and fishing, hiking and sight-seeing opportunities in addition to on-base military family organizations.

Several area colleges offer undergraduate and graduate programs for those seeking an education while stationed at Fort Campbell. Additionally, the financial assistance through the Army can make attending any of these (and more) nearby colleges easy:

  • Bethel College at Clarksville
  • Hopkinsville Community College at Fort Campbell
  • Murray State University at Fort Campbell
  • North Central Institute at Clarksville
  • Troy State University at Clarksville

A major local attraction is the Don F Pratt Museum focuses on the legendary history of the 101st Airborne Division known as the "Screaming Eagle." This is where the invasion of Normandy during WWII comes alive. For Campbell is also the home of two Special Operations Command units.
