Colleges in Minnesota
With its friendly people, mid-west charm, bustling cities, and numerous outdoor activities, Minnesota schools are worth consideration for Army families. Known as the Land of 10,000 Lakes, Minnesota boasts obvious abundant water-related recreational opportunities. In addition, Minnesota is an outdoorsman's paradise with hundreds of acres of hunting, fishing, camping and trapping.
Those who prefer more urban environments also find that Minnesota colleges have much to offer. Minneapolis is the largest city in Minnesota, and its twin-city counterpart, St. Paul, is the second largest. Together they are known as sophisticated, cosmopolitan communities. Many people also enjoy the Minnesota's four distinct seasons. Moist winters and summers make for a winter wonderland and beautiful green summer landscapes. Although there are no Army bases in Minnesota, Army families find it to be a very military-friendly environment.
