A popular destination in Kentucky is Horse County, where you can enjoy an abundance of equestrian attractions. Kentucky is also home to an astonishing 52 National Parks and several historical sites including the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln and Civil War Battlefields. The well-known United States Army base of Fort Knox, located just 35 miles from Kentucky's largest city of Louisville, is one of the most widely used Army bases. Fort Campbell is also located in Kentucky, close to the border of Tennessee, and houses the only Air Assault Division in the world. Kentucky and many of its schools welcome members of the Army.
