Schools in Pennsylvania Near Carlisle Barracks
The quaint town of Carlisle still has the historic charm it possessed when George Washington walked its streets, yet strong industries and technology-based firms make sure the city stays up-to-date with the modern world. On the base itself, the Carlisle Barracks education opportunities abound. The Child, Youth & School Services helps children or all ages settle into school.
Other educational programs include:
- Moose Child Development Center which provides a stimulating environment for kids ages 6-weeks to 5-years.
- Before and after school programs for kindergarten to fifth graders
- Skies Unlimited, a program that offers classes for students aged 3 to 18 that cover dancing, SAT prep, technology courses, and more.
An Army spouses training program has also been set up, and all adults have the benefit of three colleges just a stone's throw away: Dickinson College, Dickinson School of Law of Penn State University, and the U.S. Army War College.
