BCT Day 31

Yay. Time to write. I even have time to write complete sentences. Today was fun. We shot at multiple targets at different distances up to 300 meters. It’s all up to practice for qualifying on the rifle on Thursday. If I don’t hit 24 out of 40, I have to be recycled to the beginning of white phase. I didn’t do too hot on the range today and my ears are still ringing.

8 hours later. We’ve been going to the range with a full ruck sack(book bag), gas mask, helmet, rifle, and other ****. The point is to build up our legs for the next PT test since we don’t even open the ruck sack.

Wow, a whole month away from home. It’s the longest I’ve ever been gone. It’s weird. I’m not even halfway done until a few days, but I feel like I’m almost done. Apparently red phase really sucked and went by slow. White phase is flying by though. By this time next week I should be in blue phase and really close to graduating. I can’t wait to go to AIT. I’ll be able to eat what I want, go home on weekends, and tons of things that I miss. Like reading a newspaper, watching TV, going running alone as the sun sets. That’s it for today.

We spent a long time bullshitting with D.S. Lewis. He’s a cool ************ when he takes the hat off and tells us to tell our moms that he’s not interested in getting laid on graduation day.

Tomorrow is Sunday. Yes! Another one is here already. But I’ll get to tomorrow in about 8 hours. I could get 8 hours of sleep tonight if I wanted to, but I’ll start replying to mail that I got this week.

Oh. I got my pay statements. ************* got my **** wrong and are paying me as an E-1, but I’m an E-3. That means I’m being cheated out of $300 a month. D.S. said I’ll have to wait until after basic to fix it. Why does the army always **** me around? First I have to wait 7 months to be switched from active to reserves, then they don’t want to let me fix my routing number.

**By the way, they’re depositing to the account number I gave at MEPS, not the one I gave here(which is wrong) so that kinda fixed itself.**

And third, they’re robbing $300 a month. I can’t do a damn thing about it while I’m in prison, but I WILL make them refund my money when I get to AIT. This is one hot headed private right now. But I’m in a good mood because another Sunday will be here when I wake up, which might mean a phone call to my girlfriend.

Four more Sundays Four more Sundays Four more Sundays. Just 4! That’s four, then three, then two, then one! No more basic, no more yelling, no more getting smoked, no more yes D.S., no D.S., yes I’m a **** up, D.S.

A guy just walked by my bed and said he misses his nipple rings. 4 more Sundays, only 4 more.
