Posted Monday, November 14, 2005 Mom's Bag:
2 or more well fitting bras. Nursing bras may make it easier to breastfeed baby.
2 or 3 pairs of cotton underwear. Be sure to bring your older pairs because you may bleed on them quite a bit and they may get stained.
2 or more comfortable nightgowns. If you plan on breastfeeding, it will be easier if you have gowns that open from the front.
Slippers or slip on shoes with non-stick soles.
Personal care items (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, comb, brush, etc...)
Loose fitting maternity clothing to wear home. You usually wear your maternity clothes for several days to weeks after delivery.
Camera with plenty of film. Don't forget to check the battery.
Baby Bag:
1 Going Home / Picture Outfit
1 Car Seat (the hospital will not release you and your baby if you don't have one)
Baby bag with diapers, burp cloth, wipes for the trip home.
Blanket, hat and a warm outfit if it is cold outside.
