Nasal Stuffiness and Bleeding
A common discomfort of pregnancy

Discomfort When What you can do to help
      
  • Nasal Stuffiness and Bleeding

      
  • First trimester and again at term.

      
  • Use a humidifier / vaporizer if air is dry.

  • Can use over the counter decongestant such as Pseudoephedrine as directed.  Always check with your healthcare provider prior to using any medications while pregnant.

  • Use a saline nasal spray.

  • Avoid using nasal decongestant sprays.

  • If your nasal stuffiness occurs often and is difficult to control, tell your healthcare provider.

  • Blow your nose gently.
