A common discomfort of pregnancy

Posted Saturday, November 12, 2005

Discomfort When What you can do to help

  • Frequent Urination

  • Begins early and gets better mid-pregnancy.  It then increases towards the end of the pregnancy as the baby drops.

  • Be sure to know where the bathrooms are when you are out and about.

  • Don't cut back on fluids

  • Expect to make many trips to the bathroom both day and night.

  • Avoid drinking lots of fluids before bedtime.

Important Note:

  • Make sure that you stay hydrated throughout your pregnancy.  Do cut back on the amount of fluids that you intake to lessen the amount of times that you need to urinate.  Your urine should be clear.  If it is dark yellow you need to drink more water. Drink water, drink water, drink water!!!
