Colleges in Wisconsin

Wisconsin enjoys coastlines on two of the Great Lakes, and the water sports include exploring their shipwrecks--20 in Lake Michigan and six more in Lake Superior. Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, one of Wisconsin's four National Park Service (NPS) sites, covers 21 miles of coastline and includes 21 islands on Lake Superior. A second NPS site, The Ice Age National Scenic Trail, stretches for nearly 1,200 miles across the state, with hundreds of access points and trailheads.

There are 15,000 inland lakes to explore here, and more than 4,600 campsites in the state parks and forests. Door County, a peninsula between Lake Michigan and Green Bay, has two national Wildlife Refuges and eight lighthouses.

For McCoy, Wisconsin's U.S. Army base, operates both as a training center and as a support site for power-projection missions. The base's 60,000 acres are home to several organizations, including The Wisconsin Military Academy, the 88th Regional Support Command Headquarters, and the 84th Training Command.
