Colleges in Oklahoma

Oklahoma is the Sooner State, the nation's 20th most-populous state with more than 3.6 million residents. Known historically for its oil production, Oklahoma today enjoys a diverse economy and shares Southern as well as Midwestern traditions. Its larger cities and college towns of Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Norman, and Stillwater offer Army personnel and families a wide array of cultural and nightlife activities including professional sports, dining, food and music festivals, museums, casinos, and theatre. Outdoors, there are lakes and state parks, golf courses, ATV parks, and plenty of hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing.

The Army operates major installations at Fort Sill and the McAlester Army Ammo Plant. For Army students and dependents, there are plenty of Army friendly schools and colleges from which you can choose. The University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University are the main universities in the state, along with two state universities, eleven public regional universities, community colleges, trade, technical, and business schools.
