Colleges in Ohio
Ohio, the Buckeye State, offers a wide range of living and educational options for members of the Army. There's big city life, with sports teams, fine dining, music, drama, and fine arts. Or there's small town charm with 174,000 acres of state parks to visit and more than 100 wineries. Summers are hot and humid, and winters are cold. In the northern part of the state by Lake Erie, Cleveland has an especially frigid winter. There are no major Army installations in the state, although there are many smaller facilities and National Guard units.

From big cities and college towns like Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Columbus, to small towns, there are 13 state universities, 24 branch campuses, 46 private schools and colleges, 15 community colleges, eight technical schools, and 24 independent, non-profit colleges.
