Colleges in New Hampshire

Deep in the heart of New England is New Hampshire, known for its rugged beauty and unspoiled scenery. Concord is the capital and Manchester is the largest city, but New Hampshire is mostly known for the quaint small towns that dot its landscape. Not surprisingly, shopping and antiquing are popular activities. However, New Hampshire's many lakes and location on the Atlantic Ocean provide for numerous beaches, water sports, fishing and boating. For those looking for a big city experience, Boston is just 50 miles away.

New Hampshire is also famous for its education. Although Dartmouth is probably the most well known, there are numerous other New Hampshire colleges. New Hampshire features four distinct seasons, so recreational activities are readily available all year long. There are no Army bases in New Hampshire. However, because of New Hampshire's coastal location there are numerous military bases in the region, making New Hampshire schools an attractive option for Army personnel and their families.
