Colleges in Indiana

Located in the Midwest, Indiana's summer temperatures are typically in the 80's and winter temperatures are in the 30's. Found in the Great Lakes region, weather is often effected by Lake Michigan. It is the 16th most populated state in the U.S. with around 6,500,000 residents. Indiana has both small towns and large metropolitan areas, including the area around state capital and largest city of Indianapolis.

Visitors and residents in Indiana enjoy its lush state parks and reservoirs, campgrounds, historical sites, and large bodies of water. One popular destination for recreation is the Indiana dunes. Beach-goers can soak up some rays, enjoy boating activities, or climb and explore the seemingly endless mounds sand dunes in this area.

While there are no Army bases located in Indiana, its friendly residents welcome military personnel to be a part of their community. Several Indiana schools, including Indiana State University and University of Indianapolis, value students with military experience and work hard to make them feel welcome among their institutions.
