Schools in Virginia Near Fort Lee

Home to nearly 3,200 military personnel plus families and civilian employees, Fort Lee is located near Petersburg, VA, about 30 miles from Richmond. Fort Lee's Morale, Welfare, and Recreation department offers activities ranging from hunting and fishing, archery, camping, paintball, mountain biking, golf, and a well-stocked equipment rental office, as well as clubs and restaurants.

The whole area is rich in culture and history. Richmond was the capital of the Confederacy, and as such, boasts a number of museums of Civil War history, in addition to being one of the cultural centers of the south. There are plenty of post-secondary options in the area, including Virginia State University and the University of Richmond.
