Colleges in Connecticut

Connecticut is not a major PCS location for Army soldiers, though there is an Army detachment at Naval Submarine Base New London in Groton, Connecticut. Connecticut is located in the middle of the New England region of the north-eastern states. With a high population density, the state is highly urban, but still houses many stretches of natural parks and other wilderness areas.

The climate of Connecticut is generally humid and mild, comparable to areas of central Europe. Easily the most famous university in Connecticut is Yale University, one of the most selective and prestigious educational institutions in the world. A great many other colleges are also located in Connecticut, including the various campuses of the Connecticut State University and the University of Connecticut. Connecticut is a rich playground for those with an interest in history, with some of the oldest institutions and historical sites from the American Colonial period.
