They issued me an M16 hoorah, hoorah
They issued me an M16 HOORAH, HOORAH
They issued me an M16 but didn't issue a magazine
And we'll all be dead by summer 2005

They issued me a bayonet hoorah, hoorah
They issued me a bayonet HOORAH, HOORAH
They issued me a bayonet but didn't bother to train me yet
And we'll all be dead by summer 2005

They issued me some ammo boots hoorah, hoorah
They issued me some ammo boots HOORAH, HOORAH
They issued me some ammo boots but didn't issue a parachute
And we'll all be dead by summer 2005

They issued me a mosquito net hoorah, hoorah
They issued me a mosquito net HOORAH, HOORAH
They issued me a mosquito net but I haven't seen it work yet
And we'll all be dead by summer 2005
