Perform a Function Check on the M60 Machine Gun
The gunner must perform a function check to ensure that the M240B is correctly assembled

The procedures for performing a function check on the M60, in order, are:
a. Open the cover and pull the cocking handle to the rear.
b. Place the safety on "S" position.
c. Return the cocking handle to the forward position.
d. Close the feed tray cover.
e. Place the safety on "F" position.
f. Grasp the cocking handle with the right hand, pull the trigger with the left hand, and ease the bolt forward.
